Have traced my ancestry to Frederick and Sophia Zerbel of Pommern, Prussia. I believe Sophia was born in 1812 and immagrated to the U.S. with her son Frederick W. Zerbel who was born in 1847. Frederick W. (the son) was living in Elba, Genessee, New York as of the 1880 Census but soon after settled in Shultz, Michigan. So far the only reference I've found to any Zerbel's in Pommern, Prussia has been a Henrietta Louisa Zerbel born August 12, 1835 in Gramenz, Neustettin, Pommern, Prussia but have not been able to verify a connection. Any information whatsoever about the Zerbel's of Pommern would be greatly appreciated.
